No Data Centers
Spartanburg families are being asked to conserve water as drought conditions continue to affect our community. Residents are doing their part to protect limited resources, and county leadership should apply the same level of care and caution when approving projects that place new demands on those shared systems.
I support responsible growth, but it has to come with honesty about what we are giving up. I think about growing up near Fair Forest, riding bikes through the hills, playing in the creeks, and seeing open land that does not exist the same way anymore. Over time, we have watched too much of that landscape change, and it raises a real concern about how much more we are willing to lose for large-scale development like data centers.
Our community deserves clear answers, real transparency, and a voice before decisions are made, not after. I will advocate for protecting our land and water, and for ensuring that Spartanburg’s future is shaped with long-term stewardship in mind, not short-term expansion at any cost.
